Meet The Heart Behind The Kitchen
Hi! My name is Ashlea, welcome to my kitchen! I am a wife, mother, Registered Holistic Nutritionist and traditional skills enthusiast with a passion for homemade food and a vintage way of life. I started The Vintage Kitchen to provide the opportunity for people to have better access to homemade meals made from scratch and to help the community learn about what is in our food and what we put in and on our bodies.
I have led a 6-week grief and nutrition course at Heart of Hastings Hospice, participated in their Caregiver Series discussing self-care and nutrition, and regularly volunteer at Tweed Elementary for the breakfast club program, hot lunch, and primary classes making apple sauce, all of which fuel my passion and fill my heart with joy.

We ordered a shepherd’s pie for a party of six…it was absolutely delicious! Had leftovers as well, so we got our money’s worth. Ashlea was very prompt with answering messages, and overall I would say worth giving her a try…you won’t be disappointed.
